I've got a lot of fundraising to do for this year's marathon training program, so (with her blessing!) I'm potentially stealing this fundraising idea from
miss_ev... specifically, raffling off a 2GB iPod Nano*.
Here's the thing, though. Since iPod Nanos don't grow on trees (unfortunately) I would obviously need to buy one as part of the auction. Which means that I need to know that I'm going to sell enough tickets that it's worth going through with the process. One ticket costs $5, and you get three tickets for $10. The question is, would you buy a ticket (or more)? I'd be accepting money via PayPal and snail mail for those who don't live in the area, if that helps any. If you say you're going to buy some tickets, though, please really mean that you'd buy tickets versus thinking, "Oh, that's a good idea" but nothing else. I don't want tons and tons of people to say they're going to buy tickets, I run out and get the iPod Nano, and then no one actually coughs up the money. (Although I suppose at that point I could just refund people their money and keep the Nano. Hmmmmm.)
Anyway! I'm thinking the drawing would be in mid-August (and I'll throw in shipping if you live in the United States). So... anyone interested in entering a raffle for an iPod Nano? (Don't worry, I'm not offended if you aren't!)

* — Added incentive: if over $500 worth of tickets were sold it'd be a 4GB Nano. Woo!
